Hi Joel,
Thank you so much for your quick response.
I would also like to thank you (forgot to mention how grateful we are for all the hard work you have put into research and reviews to recommend the best church tech for live production). Cheers to Brady Shearer as well who lead me to your website. You guys are amazing!
We are only looking to have just the one camera purchased for now and later once we have more finance add more cameras. We are currently live streaming church service from our home using the iPhone 12 Pro Max connected via EpocCam through usb into a a PC via the Blackmagic intensity pro 4k capture card and stream through OBS.
Here's a few examples of our current stream:
We are looking to move back to church once the restrictions are lifted after the lockdown. And here's what our service at church (when we move back to the church building) looks like, we use a really old Panasonic HDC-MDH1 AVCHD Camcorder:
The camera at home would be 5ft away, The camera at church would be 20ft away.
For worship we would probably pick Medium Shots, and for sermons we would prefer Full Shots. However since the camera and the stage are on the same floor - (not like a typical auditorium where the seating is elevated) we struggle to achieve this. We have made a wooden base which is about 4ft high to fit the tripod and the camera person.
We don't usually zoom in and out a lot, but I do use the OBS Crop feature to make believe zoom is possible from the frame on the OBS canvas. You can probable see this done in this link:
The camera would be manned, just to follow the preacher/worship leader at church (where required). Ideally, the camera man would love to have control of zoom and focus. But we don't want to rely on autofocus as you have mentioned previously on your website.
Please let me know if anything else is required.
Regards
Robson
